National savings are secure investments guaranteed by the British Government. A tax efficient home for your savings, National Savings come in various forms.
Capital Bonds – Offer a guaranteed fixed rate growth over 5 years
Children’s Bonds – Offer a guaranteed and tax-free return over 5 years. The rate will vary with each issue and you may invest from £25 to £1,000.
Certificates – Offer a guaranteed and tax-free return over 5 years and the minimum purchase is £100
First Option Bonds – Offer a 12 month guaranteed return on a minimum investment of £1,000
Income Bonds – Give regular monthly taxable income. (Minimum investment is £2,000, but the rate is enhanced for investments of more than £25,000).
Index Linked Savings Certificates – Offer a guaranteed inflation proofed and tax-free return (minimum investment is £100).
Investment Accounts – Offers a variable interest that increases the more you invest. (The minimum investment is £20 and you will need to give 1 months notice to withdraw).
Ordinary Accounts – Offer tax free interest for a minimum £10 investment.
Pensioners Bonds – For the over 60’s a minimum investment of £500 offers a fixed monthly income guaranteed for 5 years
